An autumnal reliquary, changing leaves frozen in time. For about one week in October, the maple tree produces just about every color I can imagine a tree making. These pieces seek to capture that fleeting kaleidoscopic abundance. The familiar arc form is inverted to create a vessel, visually signifying a shift in season to a time of harvest, gathering, storing up. The cast forms were hand carved and rounded to create a slight magnifying effect and to give light some interesting angles to shine through.
